B+ to starter
i'm replacing my battery cables. from the B+ to the starter there is a molded housing that connects to the starter with an additional smaller wire at starter. what is this wire and how do i replace it? is it a ground? it has like 1/4 terminal? what should i purchase to replace it. i have all other cables accounted for. i think

is it the solenoid wire? there is a 1/2 stud that connects to B+ and then there is a small 1/4 stud. but the cable i want to replace has BOTH of these molded together and that pice bolts up to the starter.
i want to replace these cables with separate ones...

ok. so its the starter solenoid..where is the other end? what does it connect to and how to i replace it?
my existing cables are corroded and i bought bolt on replacement cables...except for that one little wire... what do i do?

that smaller wire is a signal wire from the starter relay.
just cut it and put a connector on the end and bolt it to the smaller stud and bolt the larger one to the larger stud.
that big molded plastic piece is for convenience only, just don't let those wires touch, you should be fine.
i seem to recall having to insert a small bolt and nut for the small signal wire tho.
