Hi guys
I had my tires changed a little bit ago and they told me that my axle bearings need to be replaced so yesterday I went and got what they told me I need (Front Hub Assembly) turns out that is okay but it is another bearing that is bad.
I am trying to find the name of this bearing and steps to replace this part my self.
Basically the bearing or what ever is suppose to be there is missing and the wheel is moving a ton more than it should.
Here is a schematic with an arrow to the part that I require; I hope someone can help me.
Thanks you so much.
I have a 95 XJ 4wd which is pretty much stock.

There isn't an outer bearing on your front axle, only at the differential and the hub assembly. Did you check your ball joints and u-joints? You may be getting some movement from those.

How did you know your bearing assembly is bad? I just took mine off today and they spin decent, but they make a bit of noise, but it might be because they're filthy.

Just by chance my neighbour was walking by and took a look and told me what was wrong today. I did not know until today but he is a certified mechanic who owns a shop.

Ujoints on both sides front bad and front passengers wheel bearings REALLY bad.
Took 4 wrenches to get the passengers side axle but off as 3 snapped due to the but being seized due to the heat.
Finally get every thing off and turns out the guy at autozone gave me the wrong ujoints.
Gonna return ujoints this week and put them in this weekend. Put new wheel bearings on and man is she smooth driving now.
