axle question
Hey guys , my c8.25 has bad carrier bearings, the diff moves side to side with a screwdriver in the drain plug. so i found a used 8.25 out of a 98 for 100 bucks. should i expect an almost perfect matchup or will i run into trouble

Hello, Neighbor.
As long as it has the same gears it will be a direct bolt up.
Is yours 4wd? Auto? 4.0?
Same as the parts Jeep?
Greenville LKQ?
You're only 40 miles from me.

All I can do is clarify, you do know you don't want to get into rebuilding the differential, you are looking for a whole a rear-end swap. Guess you knew that, just wanted to be clear. We mere mortals don't normally mess with the innards there!
