Axle Housing Identification Photos?
Hi, all
I was wondering if somebody might have some sort of "Differential Identification Guide" type photos that they could post or link to...I went to the J/Y today for some junkyard therapy, and was looking over an almost-complete 1986 2.8L Pioneer XJ, but couldn't ID the axle housings 'cuz I'm a recent convert to this XJ modication addiction we all share.
(The '86 rear axle housing seemed to resemble the Dana 60 that was under my '69 Dodge Charger many years ago...) Possibly a 44?
I think it would be a cool idea to have some labeled photos to take to the Junkyard so I know what I'm looking at/looking for.
Any help/ideas/photos?
Thanks!

Thank you...
That was EXACTLY what I was looking for.
Yep, it was a 44.
It's beyond what I can afford or need, but if anybody in Northern Calif is looking for a Dana 44 setup from an 86 2.8L Pioneer XJ, still in the Jeep, PM me and I'll pass on the name & location of the junkyard. The XJ is a complete roller except for TC, maybe trans, valve cover, tow points & front bumper.
I'd hate to see it crushed.
