Hey guys, sorry it took me so long to figure out what i have. lacrosse just started so between that and school i have been too busy to check. looked today and it looks like i have an 8.25... so u suggest i should stick with them. i wont be doing a tone of intense wheeling because its my DD.

another question... when i take my foot off of the gas going about 30ish and above it makes a really odd clunking noise.. any idea what this might be? the sound is coming from the rear...

 

I say stick with the 8.25"/D30.

Alloy shafts are a great addition for strength...and piece of mind. Pricey, but then again what isn't these days.

The noise from the rear could be bad u-joints or even a damaged yoke. I busted on of the little tbs off mine and that allowed the u-joint to shift to one side. Worth looking at.

While you're under your rig take a look at the entire driveshaft and see if you lost one of the counterweights off of the shaft itself.
