quick question guys im about to head off to the JY to get a new axel (2wd to 4x4 convertion) i want to knwo what i can take off my current axel and put on the new like the brakes and stuff like that?

and how do i tell if i found a an hp dana 30 or a lp dana 30?

 

What junkyard is open at this time in Miami? I want in!

LP D30s only came in 2000-2001 XJs. I think YJs too but not sure. HP D30s have the pinion higher than the center of the pumpking, and vice versa for LP D30s.

Brakes and rotors swap over.

 

The rotors calipers and pads will be the same and the differnece between a high pinion and low pinion is pretty self explanitory.
