Hey howdy hey fellas,
So I'm fairly confident my ax15 is in need of some tlc. She's never liked going into 3rd gear, but now it sometimes locks itself in and I have to fight it like a dog to get her back into neutral. Also, while in neutral, a faint gurgling/grinding noise can be heard. Am I correct in assuming something has gone wrong and it's time to pop her open?

 

I don't know if your checked this but, it could also be that your slave needs to be bled, is going bad or you have a cracked line. One time I thought my slave was going bad, but it happened to be that my clutch pedal cracked from engaging and trying to force it out of gear. It also sounds like your synchros are bad and it's probably time for rebuild. I had my AX15 rebuilt cause I would hear a gurgling/grinding rattle in 5th gear. I would start by draining the tranny gear oil and look for gold flakes, that should tell you a lot too. Good Luck!
