Well this morning, I as I was driving to work, I think my AX-15 is finally giving up, I had been having synchro issues in 1st and 4th, but it was still drivable with lightning fast shifts and good clutch control

But this morning, it didnt really want to go into 4th. LAME

Anyways, you guys know a good place to get a transmission that is good rebuild quality and not too expensive, oh and of course, no core.

Also, am I going to have to support the engine when I take the TC and Trans out?

or is the 4.0 supported pretty well?

You will have to support it. For now, have you tried double clutching? That may get you by a little longer. HTH!! I would just look around your area for a used one, install it, and drive on, but that's just me!! LOL!!

 

not exactly double clutching, but I get it to 40mph, then push the clutch in and shift HARD into 4th, then let the revs drop to about 1100rpm and then pop the clutch, it works pretty well usually if I shift fast enough, so its pretty much double clutching minus the second clutch pump

All the places around here want like 900 bucks for the Ax-15 and none of the old junk yards are still in business
