Hey guys I know its been discussed but im not good woth searches and short on time. Will a 1995 Dodge Dakota V8 NV3500 ( I think) swap in place of my ax-15?

 

And while looking for answers for you I find this post !!!

From researching on the internet - which we all know may or may not be right.

So far the NV3550 that is in a TJ is different than the NV3500 in the 95 Dodge Dakota.

I also found out that the transmission on a Jeep bolts to the bellhousing, where on a Dodge it is all one piece.

Now I read it is not going to work if the Dodge 4.7 and 5.2 share the same bell housing bolt pattern that is.;

And TJ vs. Dodge they say the starter bolts on the other side, but this may all be different when it comes to bolting it in your XJ

Don't think 3550 came with non bolted on bell housing and should bolt to ax 15 bell housing.

 

He has a lead on a 95 Dakota 5.2L 4x4 NV3500 and was wondering if the bellhousing would bolt to a 4.0L
