Default AW4 issues

Hey guys,
I had some overheating issues with my ‘92 4.0 xj, so I changed my radiator. After that, I lost some trans fluid because of this change, so I filled in some simple atf dex1 that my mate had on the store.
After that I have some tranny fluid leaks, I’m filling it in, so to keep it full, but my reverse gear started slipping... The previous owner said me that changed the tranny fluid and filter a month ago... My metal hoses seems in very bad condition.. Please help me, from where should start?

My AW4 cooling lines were butchered, split, and poorly repaired by the PO.

I had some issues with reverse not taking up, it seems a low fluid level may have been the cause of this

quite likely the "easy disconnect" lines to the radiator will be leaking. Clean everything up and find out, Mine were both leaking fluid at each end

I replaced the quick disconnect rubber lines with clamped hydraulic hose, and that SEEMS to have corrected the Reverse issue

Its not leaking fluid anymore

make sure the fluid level is near the top mark of the dipstick, when the fluid is fully warm

YOu need Dex III or compatible fluid. And low levels can certainly cause a slipping issue.
