AW4 Help
I have a 1991 Jeep Cherokee Laredo and the Transmission keeps kicking to low Gear while in Drive. It kicks out after a while but I can not figure out the Problem. How do I tell if the Transmission is a 21 or 23 spline and if the Transfer case is the 231 or 242??

91 should be a 23 spline output to transfercase.
Theres a tag on transfercase, round on rear of it that will have what you have. Or you can look at the transfer lever... no "Fulltime" is an NP231... if you have Fulltime it's an NP242.

Working across from state park but live near neshaminy mall. There should be pics of the truck loaded in.. It is Black on black.. I need to know if the Trans can be fixed or What to replace it with.. I have had so many theories on why the trans is acting up..
