Default Is this the AW4 fluid I want?

Sorry as this has likely been asked a bazillion times but...Every search I looked at seems to treat the question as a joke or gives conflicting answers. Could someone simply just let me know if this is the correct fluid for an Aw4... please?

Yes. DEX/MERC III is what you want.

Default Coolness...

Awesome, thanks guys! All I could find on the shelf around here (Germany) on post has been Dex 5. Then I found 6 qts of this down at the auto shop in the "free use" cabinet. Its Dex 3 AND maybe synthetic? Says the manufacturer is B&M. Next question is how many qts are usually needed for a fluid drain and filter change?

If I am not mistaken It takes 3 or 4 if you are just draining the trans and a maybe about 11 or 12 if you pull the trans and drain the torque converter. If some one know the exact amount PLEASE chime in.

1 gallon for drain and fill. flushing the trans takes 12-14 qts depending on radiator and auxillary trans cooler.
