Default Auxiliary cooling fan issues

Hey all, looked on the forum for about half an hour and didn't find an answer to this question i liked. Anyways, my 96 cherokee sport's efan won't run under any condition other than a direct jump to the battery. So far I've changed the coolant temp sensor, coolant temp switch (the one that controls the gauge), the efan relay, checked all fuses, took apart the pdc, as well as a bevy of other cooling system jobs. My next step is looking for the ground to chassis the fan uses, does anyone know where this is?
thanks in advance

I have heard that the electric fan will only come on when the temp gets to 210 deg F on the late 90s. On my 90, it comes on when I turn the AC on.

Some have posted that the efan on '00-'01 XJ's is factory programed to activate only when coolant temp reaches 218F. From what I understand, '99 and earlier XJ's are programed to activate the efan when the a/c compressor engages and/or when coolant temp reaches a preset temp. It's been posted that the dealer could re-program '00-'01 models to activate the efan when the compressor engages.

Default solved

For anyone still interested, turns out i bought the jeep from someone who put the heater valve in backwards. This had the effect of having a constantly open pathway from the water pump towards the thermostat and ECT. Meaning the coolest antifreeze in the system was being pumped to the area where it should be the hottest tricking the computer.
