I just bought a 1990 cherokee with the AW4 automatic and i'm looking to swap it for the 5 speed. I have a 90 cherokee with the 5 speed, the motor went south in it so I've been using it as a parts rig for my new aquisition. That being said, does anyone have any input on the level of difficulty or any major problems i should be aware of? I've heard that there are electrical issues relating to a difference in the wiring harnesses between the rigs set up with the automatic and those with the manual, so that's a definite concern i have.
