Default Automatic Shutdown Relay

I can drive my 91 xj for about 10-15 minutes and the suddenly it will just shut down. When i try and restart it, it cranks and cranks but will not fire. I swapped out the ASD relay with the AC relay and it fires right back up. What causes the ASD relay to keep failing?

so i went outside, swapped the relay back into AC and ASD back to the original relay (i thought was blown) and it started? So this means that the relay isn't tripping, something else is, even though it can be remedied with a new relay?

try that and see what it does, have you bought a new relay for it yet or have you just been swapping them?

Try tapping on the PCM lightly and see if it stalls out

I'll look at the fp ground in a min. I'm not sure where they are grounded. And haven't heard much about those pumps

went out and shunted the fuel pump relay again, this time it ran fine. I swear this pump has a mind of its own, sometimes it runs, sometimes it doesn't. I still think the Auto shutdown may have something to do with it.

The asd could have something to do with it but it's also PCM controlled and Chrysler has had a long history of PCM problems
