Hello everyone!!! I'm pretty new to this site, but have decided to join since I recently bought an 1988 Cherokee Pioneer I'm hoping to fix up nicely. I was wondering though (And yes I did use the search bar) if I can replace the shifter **** of my Automatic Cherokee. I know how to remove the existing ***, but it's just a "pull off" removal, I'm not sure if it can be replaced since it doesn't have any screws. The **** I'm purchasing is a universal Auto/Manual type, but I'm also wondering how it would be able to press down the button that makes the shifter move. I'm sorry if this has been explained on the site and I wasn't able to find it, and I would also appreciate any help! Thank you!
