I recently bought a 87 laredo for $150 and I plan just to keep it as an offroad vehicle that I can beat on. It runs fairly well except for a few things including the transmission. It seems to stay in gears 1-2 unless I really get the rpms up. The other odd thing is that when the shifter is in 3 or D and it is in gears 1-2, it will accelerate in gears 1-2 but when i let of off the gas it acts as if it is in neutral. While when the shifter is in gears 1-2 it will hold back when the gas is let off. It also is having problems with overheating but I won't get into that here. Any help is appreciated.
