Maybe you could search and post a link that says Chrysler designed and engineered the 4.0.

Your completely missing my point.

My point is that you are debating a completely useless fact.

Captainofiron got it right.

Cool information. No one really cares. It doesn't matter.

There was no real logic used, man.

I said they bought it, its their motor.

When you buy a truck, its yours, right? I mean, you own it?

Chrysler bought the right to produce the 4.0 and call it theirs. Thats all I said. Just used less words.

Who it's made by and and who uses it are 2 different things. It's used in Jeep Cherokees (and was used in Grand Cherokees for 1 year). It was engineered and manufactured by Aisin-Warner. What's so tough to understand about that? No auto company makes all their own parts. You are trying to argue that if it is in their car that it is automatically a Chrysler.

It's made by a Japanese Company. So in your world Aisin = Chrysler, AMC = Chrysler and i am guessing you would say the GM 2.8 V6 = Chrysler. You make no sense.

Edit: What's next are you going to say that since Champion is Chrysler because they use their plugs.
