So i made an attempt to change out my gear selection ****... I had no problem with one hammer swing to get it off. The down side is; the plastic actuator rod in the stick snapped where the button engages at the top. Can anyone tell me what it is and where i can get one from? I prefer not to get something like this from the junkyard as plastic gets rather brittle in the florida heat over time.

 

I did the same thing. I found the part on eBay. I think I paid around $10 for it. Bit of a ripoff but I needed it.
