Default auto locker or e-locker in the front

ok ive done hours of research and ive come up with a whole lotta nothing.
i want to lock the front end since i have a limited slip in the rear. i can get a lock rite for my D30 cheap and have been looking to see what the side affects of an auto locker in the front would be. i assume understeer on the trails and loss of steering in slick conditions (snow, ice) ,but i want to hear from those who have an auto locker or e locker up front.
how useful has it been to you? is it worth it to lock the front? and if i lock the front is it better to get an e-locker instead? i just want first hand opinions.
thanks guys

I have only praise for my TruTrac's.
Even with a tire in the air (or 2 tires) application of the brakes will "lock" them up. Otherwise, they go un-noticed.
For a daily driver w/e wheeler (especially one that will see snow and ice) they make a lot of sense.

lock the front....no worries..a little extra turning radius in the snow wont hurt.

id rather turn wider then be stuck and need a tow.......

Hated my trutrac (aka NOtrac) but mine is not daily driven any more. I had Aussie's front and rear when it was road driven and didn't notice it but we don't really have that much snow down here and I never put it in 4wheel on the street.
