Default ATF clean up (dumb effin question of the day)

Forgive me- live in Toledo meaning no potable water at the moment. Been conserving by sticking to beer...leading to this prob)
Did 2 "gentle" flushes (ie drain and refill) of trnsm fluid. Did a third today and was extremely sloppy on refill. Doused EVERYTHING on attempt incl two big electrical harnesses under tube. Wiped it off best I could and, yes, it starts but I know atf is very caustic. Should I hit thos harnesses with electric cleaner for insurance. Should I hose it down (with water that we are advised not to use/ consume haha). Sorry- dumb question but if I'm gonna hurt my xj, I'd prefer it not be from simply bathing the bay in atf.
* no trolls please...NOT IN THE MOOD
Thanks for any mercy....

I'd think the cleaner would be way more caustic than the ATF. U've wiped it up, call it good.

Brake cleaner. It's cheap and it dries really fast. Buy 6 cans and keep it on hand for these kinds of chores.

Brake cleaner can be really tough on wire insulation, plastic, rubber, etc. What little ATF remains should offer excellent corrosion protection.

Well, ATF is like oil and better than spilling caustic soda all over the place
Brake cleaner would not be advised.

You can spent money on " electrical connection/contact spray" , which, at least here, states is safe for the plastic connectors/parts. Other cleaners are not.
Wipe dry, disconnect, spray, dry, reconnect.

Don't worry too much about all this.

......and then put a drop or two of oil/atf back on the connections to prevent corrosion.
