how do you remove the ashtray in the xjs?

There's a little tab inside- push in and pops right out (pre-96 xjs)

like 90% of other ashtrays though it was something special cause its a xj haha

Nice.. always wondered why people would ash in their cars and not out the window. switch panel seems like a much better option

I woulda built a switch panel --in-- the ashtray so when it was closed everything looked stock, and when you open it *Bam* instant coolness.

It's a little tight, but certainly something you can overcome fairly easily.
