Default Appalachian Armor Transfer Skid Plate

Got a Transfer Skid PLate the other day. Very NIce piece of armor. INstall was not as exact as in direction due to the amount of different companies pieces I have on my XJ. The biggest change is because of the crossmember being changed due to a Long arm Kit install. Had to get a bit creative and use a different mounting solution...

Used 3 of the bolts they supplied to go to the pinch seam and the 2 Grade 8 bolts to go directly through the crossmember... We will see how she does this week at Crozet...

Looks like it will take some serious carnage!

How much pocket change did that cost you?

I got mine off of Ebay they were selling them pretty cheap, I got it for 60 dollars. They were a little slow in shipping but I talked to the guy who owns appalachian armor, it is a low budget operation, 3 buddies all drive XJ's very cool people.. They dont put them on Ebay unless they are made, but he said they do not rush to ship out, it may take them like 10 days to get it to you... Which is ehhhh,,, but ya know whatever... I like the quality so far, I cant wait to see how she does this weekend...

Cullowhee is very close to me. Glad to see a company like that start up around here. I plan on buying their products.

E-mailed them about the 242 but as yet no return e-mail. Guess that is aways down the road for them. Nice skid and very well constructed but won't fit a 242 t/c.
