I know there are additional broker fees based on the final sale price but you can still walk away with a decent vehicle for under $1000 ???

yea i agree. i always purchase in person so i can kick the tires. I have a few friends that purchased via ebay, paid for shipping, only to be extremely disappointed when the vehicle was dropped off.

i did a search for jeeps and that was the first one that came up. Although i would never purchase a 2door wrangler, i am a fan of the 2011 4 door wrangler. interior upgrade is nice.

As the title states, its a salvage auction. The cars probably have salvage titles which means the insurance company declared the vehicle a total loss and paid the owner book value. If an insurance company paid off you can be sure the vehicle has serious problems. Salvage cars can be reconditioned and re- registered but its not a simple process. After the recent hurricane the market should be flooded [no pun intended] with water damaged salvage vehicles.

I thought the same thing but as i searched more i found there is an option for "clear titles" they list the cars with normal wear and tear and engine running.

I would do a carfax check on the vin#. Then you might get more info about the veh and its "clear title".
