Not sure if this is the right thing to do or not but I couldn't get mine to kick on either so I shut everything off, bled a little from the system, gave if a shot of freon. Once I started it back up, it started cycling and pulling the freon from the can.

Bypass the low pressure switch on the accumulator, that should make the compressor clutch engage for you.

well you should not have to do that when you add freon once it gets above the pressure of the low pressure switch it will automaticlly kick on. Now if you are having to do that you have another problem then not enough freon. So you need to start with the relay and fuses then if you have to go straight of the battery to the hot wire coming out of the compressor if it does not kick on then you have a bed compressor, if you have two people before you add freon jump it like that if it gets cold you have another problem. They do have high pressure switches also so it yopu have the pressures to high it will not kick on. do you have gauges if so low pressure should be between 25 and 55 max and high no higher than 200.
