Wheel spacers on a non-lifted Jeep? I know this forum is full of lifted rigs, but as a 2wd, I don't see a need for a lift. I've been wanting to do something to my 99xj in regards to stance so I think wheel spacers would be good. Does anyone here have pics of a stock wheel and ride height XJ on 1"-1.5" spacers? It would be greatly appreciated

im not but i have stock lift with wheels with more offset and wider and love the look. Its a good (and safer) alternative to wheel spacers

i agree with him go with offset wheels i work at discount tire and wheel spacers are not safe and i have seen them mess up wheels and cause wheels to fall off that's why we don't work on them. You can get some nice cheap wheels with some offset check around here or craigslist

Interesting. Many people attribute wheel spacer failures to improper installation. I would much rather stick with the stock alloys for the time being than spend big money on new wheels and tires.

^ I'd rather not add that much weight to the rotational mass. Plus, I don't need new tires or to look for a place to take my old tires off and put them on new wheels.

you will more then likely be fine with spacers as long as they are hub centric, just make sure everything is torqued and check them again after a hundred miles or so, a few of the senior guys on here have been running them for years and have said they have no issues, i was gonna run spacers but i got a great deal on some cragars off craigslist instead

x2...I ran 1.25 spacers on my zj for 2 years no problems.....have offset wheels on the xj now though. If they are installed correctly they are a cheaper way to acheive the look you want. Look at it this way a cummins 3500 has fact wheel spacers , about 4" lol.
Go for it!
