I wanna put a snorkel on my 88 But I was thinking of fabbing one anyone got pics or advise? I've never done one before But I figure how hard could it be.

A lot of people just use PVC. But you will need to use 3" tubing to be big enough and it sticks out a long ways and will get hung up on everything.



The other thing you can do is to use oval exhaust tubing. It is one inch less in thickness, but flows as much as the next size up.



So you can use the 2" oval tubing and then have the same air flow as 3" tubing and look better in the bargain. The only draw back is the tubing and bends are not cheap, but much less expensive than a plastic kit. You can get it at SpinTech dealers.

I cut a hole in the back of my factory air box, sealed off the rest of the holes in it, and ran a piece of 3" dryer hose through the firewall into the cowl. It cost about $8 to install, I don't have anything hanging off the outside of my jeep and I can go through water as long as it isn't up to the bottom of the windshield (good enough for me cause I don't want to soak the inside of the heep anyways)
