The XJ is very small. It is quite easily pushed, even with the brakes on. You must stop it with trailer brakes and XJ brakes...oh ya, you need a little common sense to.

not reccomended
I towed a 70's scout with my 97 laredo. that was just with a tow strap. Jeeps arent really made to tow so i wouldnt want to hook a car trailor to it. A boat or light camper is as far as i would go with towing.
You would be limiting yourself on what you could buy so I would get a 4x4 dodge 3/4 ton to do the towing. you never know where you may have to go to get a vehicle or a part. Even an older truck would do as a shop truck.

Yeah, I learned you have no idea what you are talking about little one.

At first I tell you that YOU make ME laugh.

Then you say "NO" like you DON'T make me laugh. You are twisting words and dragging this further and further off topic. Yet you imply I'm immature. The pot calls the kettle black, eh?

But maybe you are right. You don't really make me laugh. You make me chuckle and think to myself, "Jeeze, is this kid serious?"

I'm done with you now. From here on I'm taking the high road, and I'm not responding to you or your foolish PMs. I'm going to be looking up how to block you now. K, thanks, bye.

lol a Civic for a tow vehicle. Awesome.

Like I said, yes you CAN tow with these things. Its obviously possible as all of you have done it. You've successfully done so, and for some have done some multiple times.

But is it smart and safe?

Again, no.

Can you make it safER? Sure can. But it won't be as safe as other choices. Plain and simple.

If you keep repeating that line of BS do you really think we're going to believe you? You say it over and over WITH NO PROOF!

Yes it's smart and safe AND I said so and so do many others on this site and the engineers at AMC/Chrysler and all the experts that put trailer hitches on our vehicles for us. I'll listen to them all day long before I'll believe you say the sky is blue.

Again what are your qualifications and reasons for saying it's not.
You don't have any do you big mouth. Pretty easy to hide behind a keyboard coward.

Quote: Do you know Uhaul will not rent you a tow dolly if you plan on pulling another jeep on it? They want to know what your towing and if it's any heavier than one of those MB Smart cars they don't want to rent it.
They're too scared of you doing something stupid and sueing them.

Lowering yourself to name calling, now, eh? Cute. You are really getting worked up about this, aren't you? Getting all red in the face, veins popping out?

Go ahead, keep PMing me ridiculous crap like your other friend, I'll just block your childish self, too!

You said it yourself. An institution based around towing and hauling won't rent you a dolly if you are pulling anything beyond what they consider safe. Interesting. Maybe something bad could happen?

I never said you can't tow ANYTHING with a Cherokee.

I stated pulling things as large as some of you are pulling isn't smart, and its not safe. Anyone with a little common sense can figure that one one, no facts or figures needed.

Everyone knows how crappy the brakes are on a Cherokee, that is just one limiting factor.

And you are right, you did say its safe. So have others. And just as many have suggested that its not safe. Weird.

WTF? Your not worth my time to personally PM

Now I know your an idiot. Uhaul Experts? They're the biggest most unsafe scam in North America. Geeze they'd even hire someone like you

There ain't no such thing as common sense only common experience. Figure it out

Everyone knows how crappy the brakes are on a Cherokee, that is just one limiting factor.

And any other vehicle on the planet when towing something.
Thats why trailer brakes are MANDATORY.

And you are right, you did say its safe. So have others. And just as many have suggested that its not safe. Weird.

When you can claim the same or more experience as myself then maybe I'll listen to you and change my mind, but you've proven again on this and several other threads your nothing but a troll.
My guess is you got kicked off Pirate 4X4.
Actually this is getting kinda fun! Bait the troll!! Come out from under that bridge!

foolish PMs? wow the only things ive said to you are In This Thread havent sent you any PMs and the block button is on my profile. Go ahead, nothing you say is ever useful to anyone anyways, all you do is try to start an arguement in every thread you post in sooo..... no skin off my back

And whats really funny is you STILL dont understand what i said, my reply made perfect sense, and if you actually read books or other forms of literature, you would know im not the first to use that rebuttle nor will I be the last.

And i doubt Jamie57 PMed you either, like i've said before you are a drama queen and apparently love attention. It's sad really that you have to resort to these things to get noticed, and pathetic that it seems this is all you have to do with your free time...almost makes me feel bad for you ....almost.
