Default Anyone ever need an sye with 2 inch lift?

I put in a two inch lift and now there is a ticking noise in the front. Seems like the faster I go the more it does it. Anyone else ever have this problem or might know if I just need an SYE?

The setup I have is a 1995 XJ 4.0L 231 t-case dana 30 front 8.25 Chrysler rear and 235/75r15 tires.

The main reason I ask is because I have never heard of anyone ever actually needing an sye after only a 2 inch lift but I can't think of anything else that it could be.

i have a 6.5 on mine and have no problems with front. put a SYE on the rear. check your front u joints. i would say grease them and see if the ticking gets better. ifso change them

Yeah I forgot all about the u-joints because I just changed them about a half a year ago but I think I will check them again.

I forgot all about the t-case drop though. If it's not the u-joints probably going to go that direction for now then if I decide to add a better lift probably get an sye.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone.

If the clicking is in the front, how will a SYE fix that.A SYE is for the rear drive line.

SYE is for the rear drive shaft angles. So a SYE would do nothing for the front end. Atleast that is the extent of my knowledge on the subject. Hope that helps.
