Default anyone can confirm this 0331 for me?!

Tried showing mechanic what I see and he couldn't see it. Got my phone in there best I could. Probably going to buy one and redo it anyway. My oil pressure is still good. Only coolant loss and occasionally find sludge on cap. Another one for the 0331

Yep that is the crack, Looks just how mine did. Oil pressure was good, but had slow water loss and sludge on cap just like yours. You might of found it in time if your oil pressure is still good.

Sorry about your 0331 man, I just got a 2001 and at 142,000 miles, I figure I have a 1 in 4 chance of it happening as well in the next 0 to 60,000 miles.

After I saw your post, I went outside and took a look at mine, so at least thank you for posting that, it isnt a good day for you right now, but it does help us other 2000/2001 owners to know what to look for, so thank you for that.

Sorry man - I know exactly how you're feeling. I start ripping mine apart tonight to put the new head on & that looks exactly like what i see when I shine a light down through the oil filler hole...

Just did mine last week. That is a crack. Seems like most professional mechanics don't believe us when we tell them what we see. If you want proof, pressurize your cooling system. It will slowly seep green coolant. Don't drive it. I got a new head from Clearwater. Took 2 days to get it. $455. Works good so far (only about 500 miles on it).
