Default Any idea what i've cooked??..please help!!

96 Cherokee sport 4 litre.

Background:-

Been sitting a while. A little over 6 months. No start.

Managed to replace crank sensor as suspected failure.

Turned over and sounded hopeful about starting, but just not turning over very quickly..

So...I fitted a 660 CCA battery from a bus, and jump started it off my old Camry just to make sure...so probably a bit of overkill...cranked..and...

Killed something anyway...wont even turn over now on the key, but still get all dash lights etc...

I was looking for a starter motor fuse, or breaker or something??...is there one??
Can't seem to find any info on them if so..no visible blown fuses..have I just cooked the starter relay??

Might just try hooking the battery straight on the starter terminals just to check starter's ok..

Any ideas anyone??

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for that mate..

Just tried her in the dark there, yeah, headlights way down when I turn her over..got a buzzing solenoid that time..
Just remembered the bus battery had a slightly eaten away terminal from corrosion..bet that's enough to make a bad contact at the kind of cranking amps needed.

Luckily the bus has another good fully charged battery with better . I'll try that one in the morning.. should have known that dodgy one might be trouble..
Thought the starter would only draw what it needs from available amps..not like I really forced them in there..reckon the starter is probably ok..
