Default Any estimates?

My 91 XJ's paint job has seen better days. I just wanted to see if anyone could give me a price range to look at for a repaint.

Basically, I want the body painted gloss black, or black with clear coat, whatever it is. And I figure I can just spray paint the trim/bumper/flares.

The body is good, no dents. The only rust is a 1.5 inch long x .5 inch wide spot and little rust scratch on the driver door and then another little scratch on the front of the drivers side fender. Anyone got a pricerange I can expect?

Thanks a bunch everyone

I got mine(better than factory) done for $2800 at a reputable collision shop. Normally it would have been around $5000, but the economy is bad, and this guy knew how to adjust. He did a great job. It's a 2001 and it looks like it came off the showroom floor. Hope this helps.

It absolutely helps. My stuff is starting to fade, and those rust areas dont help either. I want my XJ looking good (and I wanna get rid of that purplish maroon color)

What does a new clear coat run? Cause my paint is fine, it just looks like the top is... crackling. Like, crows feet on the paint.

Is it possible to hand grind? I am lacking in grinders lol. And what filler? What is it called. Sorry for all the questions. And btw, I am actually considering a rattle can paint job now lol. If it's cheap and looks decent, then I'll give it a try

idk about hand grinding. I know you cant sand off rust, it just pollishes it and takes off the loose stuff.

Do you have an air compressor? sand blasting is easy and quick and doesnt cost much if you have an air compressor
