Default Another wiper question.... from a new guy ;)

New to the forum, but on my 2nd Jeep.

First one with wipers that did this SAME thing wasn't such a big deal.. I lived in Phoenix... when did it ever rain?

Little different now... I tried searching the forums, but each thread I found was isolating the symptoms to another problem // solution tree.

My problem seems to be different, but correct me if I'm wrong, I'm no expert, by any means.

So here's my gig - I picked up an 89 Cherokee for cheap. It has a few quirks... Well.. had.. dash lights magically started working.. Still don't have a blinking right turn signal though... lights up, don't blink... think it's the turn signal switch...Suggestions appreciated on that one too...

Anyway... my wipers - I can turn them on, and SOMETIMES... they move. They don't always complete a full circuit, and if they do, sometimes they complete a few circuits. Sometimes, it stops halfway up at the beginning of the swipe, sometimes it stops at the top of the arc. Sometimes it stops halfway down... sometimes it doesn't do anything at all ( turn em on, and they just sit at the bottom of the windshield ) Now, this leads me to believe that technically.. the fuses are good, cause they DO work.. sometimes. And that the motors are good... cause again, I've seen em move. I'm at a loss here... I can't think of anything else it might be... Help me out.. snow's coming soon.. and it's raining right now.. and my roomie's got the Jeep and has to drive it home in the wind, rain and dark!

Thanks ahead of time!

my 99 xj has a bad e-flasher switch that will short out the blinkers if bumped.

bolts on the wiper arms... your talking about the ribbed mount that the wiper mounts to right? ( the part that sticks out of the wiper cowling, yeah? )

Damn y'all are speedy. ^^

Hmmm it's a thought. Everything else works though, ( including the 4ways // switch itself ) it just won't darn blink for some reason.

Speedy too, thank you. /bow
