Question another wheel question

hey guys had another wheel question im about to buy cragar soft 8's wheels on my 89 xj but i cant decide if i should get 15x8 or 15x10 i want an aggressive look but i dont want the wheel to stick out too much pass the fender flare. I wonder if any of you guys have bought 15x10 and if you had any pictures so i can get an idea of how my jeep will look. thanks

Buddy has a set on his TJ but I think they stick out too far for a DD on an XJ. JMHO though.

I think wheel width is determined by tire size. Backspacing will determine how far the wheel sticks out past the fender. If you are going with a 31x10.50, a 8 inch wheel is wide enough.

What size tires are you running? That's the big factor..You don't want to wide of a rim or you will have issues keeping a bead when you air down..Me I run 15x7 rims and will even when I run a tad bigger tires..

You still failed to mention tire size. What is being said to you is wheel width is a required function of tire size.

I'd suggest 15x8 4 inch back space for a 30to33 inch tire size.

on a 15x8 rim I'd say no tire wider then 12.50 but that's me...Depending on how much lift will depend on what over all tire size to go with..Also need to consider what type of rear end you have. So let us know how much lift you have or plan to get and what rear axles you are running..Then we could recommend an over all tire size along with rim size..

I run 33X12.5 on 7" inch wheels, and it works great. I don't have to worry as much about the beads and such! I can air down more. The tires are wearing great, but this is not my DD. If you plan on staying in the 31" inch range, the 7" wheel will keep your beads tucked in a little more. I run all rocks, all the time, so that is a concern to me. IMHO tires are where the "aggressive" look comes from!! HTH, later!!
