We have the plastic tanks. Just use hot soapy water. Make sure it's dry before you add fuel back in. You can add a bottle of Methyl alcohol after to make sure you got all the water out. It's supposed to pick up the H20 and carry it up with the fuel to be burned in the combustion chamber.
