another noob needing lift advice

well not so much lift advice more what else i need to do. ok so i have been debating for months what lift to go with. after lots of thought i have decided to get the RE 4.5" superflex lift. it seems to be very complete kit. would i need anything thats not included in this kit? this rig, which is a 2000 cherokee sport, is going to be my daily driver and see more highway than offroad. dont get me wrong it will see plenty of mud and rocks also. this is my first jeep so i am really unfamiliar with jeep aftermarket stuff. i researched the lift alot and RE seems to be a preferred brand from everything i have read. i am confused tho about the sye and driveshaft. i have been doing research on my options

It's kinda hard to say since I don't know what all comes with that lift.
I ran a 3" RC lift on my '98, everything went rather well. All I'd say is keep some pene-fluid around and soak the hell out of every bolt you're gonna touch during the lift, and expect to make one or two runs to the parts store, maybe.

Rubicon Express lift kits tend to be on the upper end of the expense scale as far as XJs go. Their kits are VERY complete and you will get everything you need. You don't have to have a SYE for a 4.5" lift and I'n quite sure that kit comes with a TC drop kit and degree shim kit to alleviate vibes. Again, with the Tom Woods SYE you have found the upper end of the expense scale. In my opinion, though, the Tom Woods kit is the best and most complete. I believe the SYE kit you get is an Advance Adaptors kit with a Tom Woods CV style driveshaft.

might have a problem with the front driveshaft angle since it is a low pinion rather than the high pinion on the earlier years and it may be worse if you install a tcase drop. I dont have an 2000-2001 with a lift so I cant comment for sure at what height this becomes a problem.

the one i was looking at is a full pack. from experience the aal tends to sag more and sooner. it has an adjustable tracbar. i thought it had an adjustable lca but apparently its fixed

just ask yourself if your ready to shell out that much money. and you still gotta buy tires after that. and with that setup you'd probly wanna run 32's or maybe even 33's. and with bigger tires comes the possibility of needing to regear. an SYE is up in the air, every jeep reacts differently to a lift, some are fine, some get terrible vibes with the slightest amount of lift so its hard to say whether or not you absolutly need one.
If you're not going to run anyting bigger than 31s, why not get the 3.5" instead? You will have less a chance of needing an sye while still having enough room for your 31s.
