Hey everyone, just bought a 00 xj and looking at doing some maintance on it. ive looked and not sure what fluid i should use for the front and rear diff. transfer case and the auto trans. im not sure what axles are on it cause theres no id tags on either axle. any infor would be a huge help. thx
Front is a d30, only front available in US from the factory
Easiest way to tell the rear would be for you to post a pic.
Trans and Tcase use Dexron III, DO NOT use ATF4
Front and rear diff use "a thermally stable SAE 80W-90 gear lubricant"
Vehicles intended for heavy-duty or trailer tow use SAE 75W-140 SYNTHETIC
Add a tube of friction modifier if you have Limited Slip
