another lift question, well 2 actually
Ok, My wife broke down and gave me some money to build my jeep up alittle (so I would shut up I think).
I know this has prolly been asked 1 billion times, but wheres the best place to get 4 to 5 inches, complete, now the second part, can I add 2 inch teraflex spacers to it afterwards to clear a 35?
With a little bit of trimming off course.
Anyone done this type of set up before?
Fatbobs is the way I think im going to go, the 479 buck kit I think??????
Any advice would be greatfull, remember, my 16 yo daughter will be driving this truck to
its an 89 xj we are in bama

There are several things about what you are trying to do. One is that if you go to 6.5" in the front the lower link angle will be very steep and ride rough. Second there are no brake lines or extension brackets with this kit. Third, by putting in spacers in the front on this kit you will change your castor angle too much and probably have death wobble. Fourth, there is no trac bar in this kit, which you will need. When you add the spacers, it will also mean you need to add new shocks since yours will be too short front and rear as well as more bump stop spacing. There are no rear shocks with this kit, which you will need if it is a true 4.5" kit.
The bottom line here is that if you get this kit, you will end up spending more money to complete the lift. Second, there is no cheap way to get a GOOD 6.5" lift and do it right. You need to have long arms at that height or drop brackets. But the long arms work so much better.

just get the rc 4.5 lift kit. comes with everything shocks LCA's T case drop (sye reccomemded but t case drop will be ok) and you can fit 32's on it with no trimming and with trimming you MAY be able to get that 35 on their. no primises. and its only 450 bucks.

i'd use the search button if your lookin for anymore info, or browse the lift/tire size thread. both are very useful, and it seems you've been given vary good answers to your questions here. only thing I would add is always go with full leaf packs.
