Default another lift question!

sorry guys, I know they probably get annoying after awhile , and yes, i did search the forum first. Anyways, I have a skyjacker 2" budget lift on the jeep right now with 31x9.50 TSL's. I want to lift it to about 4.5" and I was looking at rustys site and found a 3" lift for $438, which I can afford lol. Now, adding that 3" to my 2"(is it really 2" or is a 1 3/4?), im obviously going to need to call and ask if they could switch the shocks in that kit for the additional 2", and im going to get a tcase drop untill I can afford a SYE. Would I be able to run the stock LCA's and track bar for a while? Or is that something that I NEED to replace when I would do the lift? Also, how much would I need to shim the rear axle for that lift? Or does anyone have a smarter/cheaper way of lifting my jeep to about 4.5?

Thanks, Jake

If it were me, i would sell the budget boost that you have. Then i would just go buy a 4.5" kit that comes with everything.

you will be fine with the stock pitman arm. These kits don't come with one.

IMO just get a 3" kit. I had a 2" BB on mine and added a RC 3" kit. Rides good and I still have stock LCAs and a stock trac bar. Droped my Tcase 1/2" and that was it. I still need to put a shim on (trying to wait for the springs to settle down some).

there are afew people on here that have done this (look at his aswell https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f46/bu...9-build-36364/ )

May not be the best way but it works and its cheap

hmmm, decisions decisions decisions, I hate making decisions like this! haha, oh, and how goofy would 31x9.5 TSL's look with a 4.5" lift, with my fenders cut

imo try not to mix and match unless you ABSOLUTELY can't afford anything better. that way if you run yourself into a corner, you only have one manufacturer and one kit to deal with
