In a tiny bit of searching I didn't seem to find anyone asking this so here goes.
I've been having o2 issues as long as I can remember. I'm thinking I might as well replace the cat at this point.
Here's the issue. The 01 Cherokee has the abortion emission system with dual cats and 4 o2s (1 before and 1 after per cat). Would I have to replace both or could I get a different header/manifold that goes to 1 and just piggy back the before and after o2s to the same 2 plugs instead of 4. Hopefully that made sense.

with you being in New Jersey I would leave it alone. You can't change the factory catalytic converters to a different style. You should replace with OEM style cats and be done with it. I don't think it would be wise to start splicing O2 sensor wires and trying to fool the computer. You could change the third cat right before the muffler to a Hi-flow style and upgrade the muffler back.

Kinda just wonder if it would work lol or what people do when they change the cats. No one else seems to have an 01 with upgrades lol
