Ok so I've been searching around here, and it looks like auto-pal on ebay is the favorite supplier.

Just did a quick read through of the link. Look like a decent set of lights. I believe they would be fine with stock harness. I think they bulb is the same as stock....power wise.55/60. Correct me if I am wrong. I get confused cuz my geo metro has headlights just like the XJs and I bought a cheap set off of eBay and they work. But if you were to buy a better bulb that used more power all you would have to do is just run a power line straight to the battery from the bulb. That way it won't fry you stock harness. But those in the link should be fine. I saved that...I may buy them. I have been looking for a stock looking headlights that you can interchange the bulbs inside.

Its a but more involved than just running a wire from the bulb to the battery. I just built my own harness upgrade about a month ago using 10 gauge wire and 4 relays. One for each high beam and low bream. You also need new H4 female connectors. I got a set of heavy duty ones. The difference in brightness is amazing. Even with the crappy sealed beam bulbs I still have. I want a set of those autopals paired with a decent set of bulbs now that I have my harness done.

Yes. eautoeorks harness and Autopals work great. The harness is mandatory. Easy to install, too.
Cruiser’s Headlight Upgrade Harness Instructions
Absolutely plug and play. Remove grille and headlamp bulbs. I fed my harnesses from the passenger side starting between the battery and the back of the headlamp housing, over to the driver side. Plug the driver side bulb into the new harness. Attach the new harness's ground wire under one of the small bolts on the radiator support after scraping the paint off under it. Attach the harness to the existing harness behind the grille working toward the passenger side. . Plug the new harness plug into passenger headlamp. Plug original headlamp plug into receptacle on new harness. Attach the ground for the passenger side just like you did the driver side under a radiator support bolt. Attach relays with provided bracket on the passenger side inner fender. Connect power wires to battery.
