Default Annoying Power Lock Issue

Ok i just picked up a lifted 2000 Xj Sport and it has the weirdest lock issue ive seen.the power locks will not lock or unlock from the drivers side master switch.however they will ONLY lock from the passanger side they will not unlock from the pass side.i checked all wires in the door jam and all apears to be fine is this a sighn of a bad master switch? Everything on the drivers switch works fine but the locking button.

No. All doors lock from the passanger side so the actuators are good

Ha, I have the same issue on my 98. My passenger door will lock and unlock all the doors fine, but my drivers door only unlocks (and it does this occasionally at best). Also, my power windows wont work if my drivers door is open, but they all work when it's closed. Ohhh good old Jeep wiring issues...

Mines not my DD, so I don't really care... but I'll be watching this thread to learn about your fix!

Yourse sounds like broken wires in your door, from what ive learned if the master switch is faulty it can interfear with the rest of the locks

Have you tried cleaning the connector and plug for the drivers side main switch?

Your lock/unlock switch is probably bad. You can pull the switch out and splice the wires together that go to that switch. That's what I did and heard of others doing the same. Worked for me
