annoyance
My jeep has been bucking and little hick ups for awhile, i have done a full tune up, cleaned the throttlebody and IAC. that seemed to have cleared it up for awhile. Now the RPM with dip and it will stall, but fire right back up. it has codes 12 and 27, anyone got some insight for me?

Code 12 is for the battery being disconnected. Code 27 is any of the 6 injectors are not responding to signal. https://www.quadratec.com/jeep_knowl...article-24.htm

Have you ever messed with the injectors? verify that inj 1 and 2 or 5 and 6 are not swapped. Check your harness at all rub spots. Back of the head is a common area.

I have not touched any of the injectors, or messed with the wiring, i was able to score new neon injectors for dirt cheap, i will be looking at it tomorrow .

Well i replaced all the injectors about a week ago and things are better but twice now it has shown the same symptoms as before. the engine will buck then recover and then stall. it re-fires right away. starting to get frustrated. no codes are coming up.

I chased a similar gremlin for a while. What it ended up being was the camshaft position sensor wire coming from the distributor was touching the ignition coil wire going to the distributor. I shielded the cam sensor wire wire and moved it away from the ignition coil wire as far as I could. Went from the buck and stall if not everyday but every other day to no repeat of symptom in 18 months or so. Just something to check...Hope this helps

Good idea. An inspection of the plugs and harnesses, along with unplugging each connector you can get your hands on in the engine bay and spraying them out with contact cleaner.
Refresh Connections Before Replacing Components.
