Yes it does matter.

The + cord frequency will conflict with RCA frequency making a small magnetic field

Good luck!

(I used the tire wrack with 2 washers and a randy cable end with no sanding.)

No. Run the power on passenger side, where its coming through the firewall, run the rca's and remote on the driver side. The power wire is suggested to be placed on the opposite side of the vehicle from the rcas due to distortion, it would not cause it to not turn on.

Check-Inline fuse, Power Cable Connections(Amp and battery), Amp Ground(I suggest buying a ring terminal and connecting it to the seat belt bolt), Remote Connections(head unit and amp), RCA connections(head unit and amp), and speaker wire connections

Doesn't matter what side, as long as they are opposite

I put my power cord threw the fuse box.

non that will not effect it at all, i have installed 5-6 sound systems and i have run all three wires wrapped and taped together! for my ground i used on of the bolts for the spare tire rack in the back hatch! trust me i have installed systems in 3 cherokees, 2 96's and one 94', it will not effect it, check to make sure your REM in hooked up properly(blue wire), make sure your ground is good, make sure you didnt blow the inline fuse of the power cable, check all your fuses if those fail. if that doesnt work consult an expert but that is just me 2 cents!

Your trying too hard. Im MECP, installed well over 200 "systems" in the past ten years, it does matter, a section of the AITC is all about that. Spare tire bolt is one of the worst grounds in the car. Seatbelt bolt is the best.

is there a function on your head unit to turn the "sub" on or off? if that is in the off position, then your amp wont be receiving any signal from the head unit. i knows its soudsn stupid, but going over all the little things more than once can help.

you should have 3 slots on your amp. /pos-bat/ground/remote-signal/
can you post pics at all of what you are talkngi about? or maybe the model number of the amp? if i could look at a pic of the amp i may be able to explain it.

That needs to be hooked up for it to turn on, its short for accessory and thats what tells it to turn on when the ignition is turned on.
