American made hubs?
I bought a Timken hub assembly from AutoZone today for my 2000 Sport, and it's made in freaking Slovakia! Does anyone make them in the USA?
I'm looking to do this project Friday and Saturday, so mail order recommendations are not especially helpful.
(Yes, I did a search, and all the info was at least a couple years old.)

Off the top of my head, the major auto parts chains in my area are AutoZone, Advance, Pep Boys, O'Reilly, NAPA, Federated, and Auto Value.

The Moog hub they have at Advance is made in Taiwan or Mexico.
I'll call more places tomorrow and report my findings.

Cruiser? Not every hoser is a convenience store graduate.
The SKF bearings are not produced with towels anywhere in the process. That shop is wicked productive! The product is better by content, design, and construction. You can pull your axle and still run on the hub bearing without it separating.
I've got 330000+ on my SKF hubs (that's 200000+ miles) and still rollin on.
You don't get that with any bearings imported in a rice paper carton. The imports will not support your vehicle without the axle and retaining nut. Quality costs a little more up front, pays you and your neighbour back down the long road.
I think the Novaman is doing the right thing trying to procure quality products made in the homeland. SKF offers solid warranty and hasn't sold out to the fast import buck.
Support em, buy em.

All of the convenience stores here are either white guys or Koreans. I guess living in remote AZ one gets a little xenophobic
Peep you seem to be very familiar with them. Are they a new name? I hadn't really heard of SKF until recently.

Offered thru APC, Carquest, and some Cdn Tire parts counters.
I've seen the pitch offered by the sales rep and the cutaways of 5 commonly distributed hubs. There is a difference in content. The factory was a mixed bag of nuts and nobody was a slouch! Long before I knew the content I put the SKF from Carquest on back in 08 because I wanted what they offered as the "premium" bearing. Like I said, still rolling. Saw the cutaway comparisons at trade show thru APC in London recently. I appreciated the additional education but they were already preaching to the converted.

They are one of the oldest bearing manufacturers in existence, holding the patents to many of the designs.
They used to send raw steel over from Sweden because they didn't trust the USA stuff, lol. How times change.

I'll bet that now they are made in Taiwan, since they bought a company there.
When I used to work at Fel-pro we supplied 90% of the gaskets to U.S automakers,The plant is located in Skokie IL.That was the only plant they operated in the U.S.It was sold to Federal Mogul now they are made in Mexico and other Countries.
