dude that's exactly what happens to me. my military id gets me out of tickets on my bike. my riding jacket says US Army, so when i get stopped, they just ask are you in the army, i say yea. not too long ago i got pulled over for going 75 on 35. walked it. ha ha...
to all of you that are bragging about being bad drivers and getting out of trouble. **** off.... I would risk being kicked off this site to tell you all how I really feel.

In all reality yes its going to increase your chance of rolling even with the wider-bigger tires. Your center of gravity is increased both with the lift and larger-taller tires.
Be mindful of yourself, passengers and others on the same roads.
used to drive a ford explorer lifted on 35's... had my fair share of taking corners too fast... simply said, the higher your rig is regardless of tire size, the more chance your rig will tip on corner... this is how i rolled my rig and totalling the sucker *tears* I STILL HAVE THE TIRES AND REAR AXLE THO!!!
sticking that on the xj when i have the time and $ to lift it

yeah... and your the idiot id love to rear end the crap out of going slow in the fast lane... good day...
and i should say i wasnt going all that fast, only 25 in a 35 downhill spiral, still tipped the rig and ended up jumping the road barrier and rolled in a river about 40 feet off the road... SEAT BELTS REALLY ARE A GOOD IDEA.... I wasnt wearing mine and fractured my femur, broke the collar bone, 9 stitches above the forehead and woke in the hospital...
let this be a lesson to you all young'uns... seatbelts, all the time... slow down around the corners!

hey man, i have great respect for the law and i'm sure if that cop thought that i was being reckless, military or not, wouldn't have mattered. a bike does take off in a dime and stops in a dime, so an empty road gets tempting sometimes.
First off Thank you for serving our country, that is something I will never be able to touch.
There are just a lot of senseless deaths out there. I have to admit that I am touchy on subjects of the road. My area is very populated and cut throat. I have seen a lot of people lost on my local highways.
To the OP drive your Jeep the way you feel it needs to be driven, not what others say can be done. Our Jeeps are better enjoyed off-road anyway.

I had an eclipse spyder gs and I got pulled over many times got out of all except one. I could get it over 155 mph got caught street racing took 4 months and got out of it in Panama city beach. I was calming driving pulling onto a road and a girl ran up the center lane and t-boned my drivers side and totaled my eclipse out... after that I drive carefully and forget about speeding. You don't gain anything from speeding... except tickets and wrecks... and I'm only 22 yrs old but I've straightened up my driving after a couple yrs of driving
put the biggest lift you can find and then some donut tires. you'll be fine.
