so by now you've been running it for a few months.. how are things going with it???? still recharging like nuts or did you burn anything up??
1984-1986 - Delco 12SI, used a two-pole MOLEX plug for the internal regulator.
1987-1990 - Delco CS-130, used a four-pole Weatherpack plug for the internal regulator
1991-2001 - Nippondenso of various sizes, all externally regulated.
You have either two stud connectors (M6, I believe) for the field coils, or the later NDs used a two-pole plug for the same purpose. The field coils are not polarised, and can therefore just be connected to the wires in either order.
I'm actually working on finding pigtailed plugs to make adapter kits for this mod - that will allow you to switch back easily, if you need to.
However, all of the ND alternators used 1991-up in Jeep and Chrysler Corp. vehicles are externally regulated, and the only differences are the connexion for the regulator to the field coils (studs or plug) and the frame size (90m/m, 117m/m, and 130-odd m/m, I believe.)

http://www.autozone.com/autozone/par...mString=search just my 2c worth
All the ones you have there are 100amp or less. The stock is 90 amp. Not much increase. Also, one that fits and higher cost alot. This was not simple but works and cost less. So, I got the same 136 amp that others, that are not renix, upgrade to just had to add an external Voltage Reg. Not too bad.

Exactly. But I went and bought a new alternator also when I did mine. But I have a warr. and if I need a new one I can just go pick one up rather than deal with having to order a new high output on that fits like OEM.
