1999 XJ alternator is also 120 amps (Napa # 213-8640). I just doubled= checked in my Jeep Parts Catalog PDF and all alternator brackets and hardware are the same from 97 to 99 4.0L XJs so a 99 120amp should be bolt-in.

At AutoZone, the stock alt. 90a is 118mm, and the 136a one is 130mm.
So, doesn't look like direct bolt-on for the AutoZone ones.

So that is the one that requires grinding then so that's a no go for me.

This P/N is over $200...bit pricey.

Working with O'Reilly...'99 Cherokee 117A Ultima P/N 05-0324 $125.

Gonna take my 90A and front black bracket to compare later this afternoon so will give an update.

That O'Reilly P/N was a no go, electrical connections in the back were different.

Need my XJ up and running as its my only vehicle currently so just bought a stock 90A for now.
