Default Alternator fitment

I have a 1994 4.0 auto.
I think I need an alternator. Will upgrade from a 90 amp to a 117.
Will a 117 amp listed for a 1999 4.0 fit my '94 with no wiring or fitment issues?

The 1999 does not fit a '94. Wiring is different.
Found a prostart pep boys 136 amp looks like the same wiring set up.
It is listed for a 1997. Part # 13746.
Looks like it ok.
Does anyone know for sure?

not sure what year they changed/added the voltage regulator.
i believe early years were external and newer ones are internal.

Caged,I think it's the other way around.
Pep boys screwed up on my order,so I ordered a 150 amp in stock housing from ace alternator on eBuy.
I'll let every one know.

i have read before that if you go too high of an output, you will have to upgrade the wiring.

You "MUST UPGRADE" the wiring before you install that 150 amp alt or you will have a real problem then 5-90's kits are excellent he sells on this forum I use it as well as many others, quality parts and assembly.
