Altenator?
Was driving home first tachometer (RPM GAUGE) dropped to zero along with speedometer then volt meter gauge for the battery. Then a RED GEN light came on assuming the GEN light means altenator then buzzer came on and slowly faded out after about 5 minutes then the jeep just slowly had less power available with pedal and then died.... Would this be a altenator?
Sounds like an alternator to me, especially because the voltage dropped to zero. I second checking the battery. You’re going to have to remove the battery and tray to get the alternator out anyway so might as well take it to the parts store and have ‘em test it.
I was always told to check the battery AND alternator when one starts to go. If the battery has removable caps, pop them off and make sure the cells are full. If the cells are low or dont hold a charge, it taxes the alternator, which can kill the alternator. So check both.
that's what I heard thanks for the tip

Your voltmeter should have dropped to the battery voltage and not to zero. My alternator went out with a voltage drop to 11 volts and the red GEN light. My battery is only 3 months old and I shut down everything electronic, turned off the a/c and drove it for 125 miles until the battery could no longer support the PCM and then it died.
If you haven't refreshed your grounds and checked your battery cables for corrosion, I would recommend that you do that first and then get your battery tested and then your alternator tested. Probably wouldn't hurt to replace the cables and ends anyway.
If your Jeep won't run you can remove the battery and alternator and take them to a parts store for testing.
Hope this helps
